Hello! I’m a Producer/Cinematographer - Here's a bit about me in no real order:

A few years ago now, I finished my feature film 'Sugar Cube', which I wrote and directed. It’s about “being in love with your best friend when they don't feel the same way”. Shot on a shitty GH4 and a with a budget that would barely cover Brad Pitt's burger bill for a week (I gather he doesn't eat as many burgers as me), the project was a whole lot of effort and a whole lot of fun.

On the more legit side, I’ve worked for a couple of years with Matchbox Pictures/Tony Ayres Productions assisting in development and working with some extremely talented people (non-disclosure = non-bragging rights) to create some great shows, along with the Netflix series ‘Clickbait’, in partnership with NBCU and Heyday. It was even the world # 1 show for about 2 weeks until a little show called Squid Game came along.

I learned so much from the team about creating engaging work, and I’ve been focusing on creating some of my own fun pilots and shorts since.

I’ve also recently made (shot/produced/wrote/edited etc) an 8 part, 1/2hr Ep documentary series about boatbuilding and offshore fishing. This is currently screening on Foxtel.

Film is such a new art form. A little over 100 years ago they were still just figuring out that if you can edit a closeup of a person's face after pretty much any other shot - we can assume their emotion. Crazy. I've spent the last 10 years dedicated to learning the craft of film, making my own little arty films, and I'm looking forward to continuing to work with producers to professionally represent their company and help tell their stories.

Hit me up if you wanna chat story over a burger. I know a place.

Luke.
